Charity Show 2011 - Results

24th January 2011: *** Handy Pony Update ***

"Well our 2011 Fundraising events kicked off yesterday with our Handy Pony Afternoon! The event was organised for our livery customers with the intention of all of the horses and riders having lots of fun, whilst raising as much money as possible for our charities, World Horse Welfare and Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Some of the obstacles caused a few problems with some of the horses and riders, but all persevered and got around each of the two courses set up....several times!! The obstacles ranged from a jump to bending poles and the "Ball slope" to riding over a rug! Which provided plenty of entertainment whilst giving the riders a challenge!

The day was a big success with around 20 horses and riders taking part, though there was a lot of horse swapping throughout the day!! With each go being £2 with a rosette for every clear round, the day ended with most riders going away with a fistful of rosettes and looking very proud of themselves and their fab horses! Everyone had a great time and we raised over £200!!

Charlotte Parsons took home the trophy for the most clear rounds, with 8 clears! Gathered on three different horses including her own horse, Willow. With Kelsey Hurford coming a very close second with 7 clear rounds, also with a few different horses, including her own pony Poppet.

So a big well done to everyone that took part! And thank you for supporting our fundraising efforts! Here's to the next event!!!!"

2010:

Hillview Riding Stables Charity Show

Bank Holiday Monday 31st May 2010

This year we are holding our charity show to raise funds for World Horse Welfare (Registered charity no: 206658) and Cancer Research UK (Registered charity no: 1089464)

This event is for our livery customers only. We hope it'll be a fun day for everyone here at Hillview with plenty of classes for everyone to take part in. All classes have kindly been sponsored by local businesses.

July 2008:
Alan Congdon 2008 Memorial Ride:
Thanks to the kind donations and the generous support of our sponsors and businesses, we were able to raise £5000 for our chosen charities.

This allowed us to donate £2500 each to Breast Cancer Care and the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.
We had a fantastic day, with around 20 riders taking part
Last but not least we shouldn't forget the hard work over everyone involved. From preparing the horses to making the costumes, a tremendous and well appreciated effort by everyone involved.
